MPhA is devoted to serving the needs of all pharmacy professionals in the Magnolia State.
As the voice of pharmacy, MPhA defends and promotes the profession. MPhA nurtures relations between pharmacy and other healthcare professions in addition to supporting a high standard of pharmacist education for the welfare of our citizens.
Our members maintain a code of ethics that ensures a high standard of professional conduct.
The Mississippi Pharmacists Association has members from and supports all areas of pharmacy, including health-system, academia, chain, independent, technicians and students.
The association is led by an elected executive committee of seven pharmacists who implement the vision of the association to our executive director.
MPhA has nine districts throughout the state, ensuring communication and involvement will all members on a community level.
The four pillars of MPhA membership are its legislative advocacy, continuing education classes, networking opportunities, and partnerships.
Legislative Advocacy MPhA is the voice for pharmacy in the federal government and United States Congress as well as the Mississippi executive office and Legislature. We have a Government Affairs committee, which introduces legislation in support of pharmacy and testifies against legislation in opposition of pharmacy. As a member your interests are well represented in all aspects of government.
Continuing education is offered through many opportunities such as the annual convention, pharmaceutical care certificate programs, Mid-Winter meetings, Last Chance seminars, CE at Sea cruises, district meetings, and journal continuing education articles.
Networking At our annual convention and various meetings, seminars and events throughout the year, pharmacists can socialize, meet new friends, receive continuing education, and recognize outstanding practitioners in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Networking and socialization between fellow pharmacists is a strong aspect of our organization.

Location We invite everyone to visit the MPhA headquarters in Jackson. We have an abundance of pharmacy history, and our staff can provide meeting rooms, should a member wish to utilize the office. MPhA has a complete library with the latest textbooks used in the school curriculum, computers, videos, brochures, and materials for presentations to help you develop community and industry interest in pharmacy.
